LogiSwitch LS118-P is a three-channel mechanical-switch debouncer with an optional host handshake interface in an 8-pin, 300 mil through-hole PDIP package.
The exact ordering code and pin assignments are listed in the LogiSwitch LS100 Series IC User's Guide; verify the latest controlled revision before design release.
LS118-P conditions three independent normally open switches. Adaptive debounce logic suppresses contact bounce without external timing components. Each NL/HS pin can provide the debounced event and accept a host acknowledgement pulse to terminate a serviced cycle.
SW0 through SW2 serve three independent switches.
The host can acknowledge an event without polling switch release.
Internal monitoring rejects make and break contact bounce.
The 300 mil PDIP suits socketed or through-hole assemblies.
2.5 V to 5.5 V operating range in the electrical-characteristics table.
Three normally open switch inputs use VSS as switch common.
NL/HS0 through NL/HS2 are normally low output/handshake pins.
The guide lists 12 microseconds typical input-to-output time and a 5 microsecond acknowledgement pulse.
The LS118-P ordering suffix denotes an 8-pin plastic DIP, 300 mil wide. The LCDChip package registry names this outline 8-DIP. It is through-hole and must not be confused with LS118-S's narrow surface-mount SOIC.

The registered local 8-DIP JPG is not yet available. The image path is reserved pending artwork; use manufacturer dimensions for PCB release.
Assignments follow the LS118 pin-description table in the LogiSwitch LS100 Series IC User's Guide.
Positive supply.
Switch input 0.
Switch input 1.
Switch input 2.
Normally low output and handshake input for channel 2.
Normally low output and handshake input for channel 1.
Normally low output and handshake input for channel 0.
Ground and switch common.
Connect each normally open switch between its SW input and VSS. Review the handshake circuit before driving an NL/HS pin from a host.

LS118-S is the manufacturer-listed three-channel LS118 SOIC variant, but its 150 mil surface-mount footprint differs from this 300 mil PDIP. Electrical, assembly and footprint checks remain necessary. LS18-P uses an 8-DIP package but belongs to the LS10 family and lacks the LS100 handshake protocol; do not assume firmware or interface compatibility. Neither is a confirmed drop-in replacement.
LogiSwitch identifies LS118-P as the PDIP member of its three-channel LS100 NoBounce family with handshake. The official LS100 Series IC User's Guide supplies the pin, package and electrical information used here.
Condition pushbutton events before they reach a controller.
Use handshake when firmware explicitly acknowledges switch activity.
Implement three switch channels in a DIP layout.
Evaluate a socketed debouncer in legacy control hardware after electrical checks.
Verify the full LS118-P marking, manufacturer documentation and supplier traceability at receipt. Confirm 8-DIP dimensions and pin-1 orientation before installation. Request lot and handling records from the actual supplier where required.
Three independent normally open switch channels.
It is the SOIC variant of the same LS118 family, but the package footprint is not compatible with an 8-DIP board.
No. LS18-P lacks the LS100 handshake behavior; review host GPIO, timing and firmware.
The manufacturer describes internal adaptive debounce without external timing components; follow its application guidance.
This summary does not replace the current manufacturer guide. Validate electrical limits, switch topology, handshake timing, package dimensions and application conditions before design release or substitution.
