Microchip Technology AT88SC0404C-MJTG

The AT88SC0404C contains 512 bytes of user EEPROM divided into four 128-byte zones. Zone-specific access rights and on-chip cryptographic functions support protected storage and host authentication. The MJTG ordering combines the J-style M2 contact module with a two-wire-only interface.

The original catalog package is M2 J, Smart Card Module (TWI), matching the manufacturer's MJTG TWI ordering. The J module has a round glob top; the P module is a different mechanical style. The exposed metal contact area is listed as 12.6 by 11.4 mm in the summary datasheet; review the excised-module dimensions separately.

Do not transfer the ISO MJ contact map, which bonds C2 to reset, to this MJTG TWI module.

The MJ order is an ISO module with a reset contact; MPTG uses a P-style TWI module. Neither is an unconditional replacement for MJTG. Compare contact bonding, reader mode, module geometry, memory zoning, security configuration and temperature class before considering another order.
