Analog Devices Inc. AD53522JSQ

The AD53522 combines two high-speed pin-electronics channels. Each channel provides a driver with Data High, Data Low, Term and Inhibit states, a window comparator and a programmable active load. An integrated dynamic clamp aids active termination, while Schottky diodes support fast switching in the load path. The part is intended for established ATE and semiconductor test systems.

ADI's ordering guide specifies a 100-lead LQFP-EDQUAD with integral heat slug, SQ-100. The data-sheet pin drawing explicitly says the die is mounted to the back of the heat slug and the package mounts to the board heat-slug up. The catalog label is 100-LQFP Exposed Pad; the package workbook has that label at row 331, but its registered JPG is missing. The generic catalog label alone does not verify the unusual mechanical orientation.

Mechanical checks

• Compare SQ-100 drawing, heat-slug-up mounting and pin-one position.
• Verify thermal path, lead coplanarity and board footprint.
• Do not substitute a standard exposed-pad LQFP drawing.

The registered local JPG is absent and must be verified before publication.

Other ATE pin-electronics ICs are not pin-compatible substitutes by function alone. Check channel topology, SQ-100 footprint, heat-slug orientation, supply rails, comparator timing, output levels, current range, thermal design and test-program calibration. No unverified internal alternative link is included.

ADI marks AD53522 obsolete. Its Rev. A data sheet provides the exact JSQ ordering row, functional description, truth tables, pin functions and mounting note. Current distributor stock and price listings differ; availability must be confirmed with the chosen supplier and lot documentation.

For an obsolete ATE component, require manufacturer traceability, lot/date code, package condition and storage history. Inspect lead coplanarity and avoid bare-hand handling as directed by ADI. Qualify independent-market lots through incoming inspection and system-level timing/calibration tests.
