Overview
The HCS300 generates a 66-bit code word for a compatible KEELOQ receiver when a button is pressed. The word contains a 32-bit encrypted hopping portion and a 34-bit fixed portion including a 28-bit serial number, four button-code bits and two status bits. Four switch inputs support up to 15 functions. An external radio circuit is required to transmit the PWM output.

The catalog-listed HCS300/SN is the tube-packed commercial-temperature HCS300 variant. The catalog-listed HCS300T-I/SN retains reel packing but has the industrial temperature option. Check packing, marking, programming, receiver learning and operating temperature before changing the order code.
Do not infer compatibility from an 8-SOIC package alone. Other KEELOQ encoders may have different button count, voltage range and pin assignments.
